This is a very good video that I purchased from my local kayak shop. It covers all the basics related to whitewater kayaking, such as paddling, how to enter/exit eddies, and how to "read" the river. I highly recommend it for beginners wishing to enter the sport. My complaints about the video are mostly technical. It is filmed in NTSC (standard definition DVD) and is clearly dated. Some of the transitions between the segments seem choppy (possibly missing information?). But overall, it's a very informative video.
