I was rocking a buzz cut for the last 10 years during my military service. Like many before me, I am now on a quest to grow out the hair on my head and face. I never needed to brush my hair. The only time a brush touched my head was at the barbershop. Now that my hair is a little longer I can style it. Sure, I could get away without brushing it, however, simply running the brush through my hair (just a few strokes) completely transforms the look and feel of my hair. It feels nice. It adds a bit of volume to my thinning hair (greatly appreciated). It distributes the oil (sebum?) from root to tip - this is where I feel the ROI is earned. It is amazing how much healthier my hair looks. My wife even commented on my hair after first use. Believe me, she wasn't happy that I spend $$ on a BRUSH so I believe her comment was genuine. If you care as much about thinning hair as I do, also pick up yourself a high quality shampoo/conditioner without harsh/harmful chemicals.I've knocked this thing 1 star because:Well, I have to be supremely impressed to leave a 5-star review. This is definitely a nice brush and I do not regret the purchase. I would purchase again and even recommend to a friend. If the wooden handle was contoured to fit the hand, then I would have been supremely impressed...The hair brush is very well built. The bristles are just the right softness for my thinning hair.I guess a lot of people are buying these brushes for beard and facial hair care based on the advertising and comments. I use my brush for my hair on my head which is thinning and is transplanted. This brush is perfect for my condition. It does not scratch my scalp, it is well made and it distributes oils throughout my hair more evenly. I have noticed less hair fall-out since using it. It is high quality and one will notice. Yes, it is pricey but for me, its been well worth it. I would buy it again. It is so well made, I don't think I will have to. I have seen at least one review which showed a brush with water damage and bristles falling out by a disappointed customer. Well, no wood brush is made to soak under water. Use the brush as its intended and it will not disappoint.I bought my first Kent hairbrush over fifty years ago. It is simply the best brush if you have fine hair (by which I mean not thick--it is not a value judgment. In fact some of my best friends....). Don't buy this model if your hair is thick. There are three models, pick the one that sounds like it will work for you.I got this hairbrush for the gym. I had tried cheaper brushes but found myself generally swapping between bathroom drawer and gym bag.Get this model--one with a handle. I think the handleless brushes were useful in the 20's when guys wore glop or pomade or for buying now in pairs as a decorator's statement (Not that there anything wrong....)By the way, if you get this brush you will need a wire brush (they look like mini-grass rakes) to clean the bristles. Look around, they are out there.Buy several--if you have wall to wall, you can use these bristle cleaners to pull up the nap from where chair legs bite in. (Which is why I suggest several)Figure that every couple of months, you'll have to whisk the bristles and wash the brush with some shampoo. It you don't put in some up keep, the brush will get grotty ( and begin to clone you or your carpet) and you won't get or want to get fifty years of use. After 50+ years of using brushes I found the BEST! Works great, worth the moneyI have used Kent products for many years. Never been disappointed. I have chosen upper end items. You get what you pay for!!Kent makes many different kinds of hair brushes for a wide variety of needs and tastes. This model has soft natural boar bristles, (best for thinning hair and sensitive scalps). Now, these brushes can be very expensive compared to others, because they are made in the traditional way with natural materials, so consider your needs and choose carefully. There's no plastic or nylon ripping your hair out; & scratching your scalp here. And, I don't use a blow-dryer or hair gel, so I can't say how that works; but consider it's a personal grooming item, that you use every day, and it will last a long time with proper care. Since you're reading this, you've probably worked hard enough to be able to afford a fine product, and know the difference. So why not get the best? A word of caution: if you have thick, long, strong hair, perhaps a different Kent model with stiffer bristles would be more to your liking; so as before, choose carefully and match your needs and hair type to the brush, (for example, stiff or soft, club or military, oval, etc.).Fantastic brush very high-qualityHave always used combs & never really thought about them. After losing my latest randomly purchased comb on a trip I went online to buy a replacement and stumbled upon this brush that was getting great reviews. In a moment of madness I puchased this rather expensive brush and I'm really glad I did. It is obviously very well made with great materials, is really nice to use straight out of the shower & if like me have thin hair then any hair damage not a concern.Lifetime warranty is nice and a good sign that the company stand by their products. As it is a bit chunkier that my historic combs & quality item I plan to keep long term hopefully will not lose on future tripsBought this after watching a documentary on Jent brushes. The workmanship and durability is far superior to any other brush I’ve used.Slightly pricey, but worth every penny and works out cheaper than buying 10 Chinese made products all of which turn out to be junk.I had my first one of these as a gift so when it wore out (a bit after a few years) I have bought a replacement, same model. Old one relegated to the dog (Sheltie), who seems to love being brushed with it.KENT is simply the best for mens brushes and combs. They may cost a bit more, but quality always does.Incredible hair brush.Extremely well crafted military style brush, that is a piece of art on its own.Simply a joy to use with its amazing bristles, perfect for fine or thinning hair.Highly recommended!
