This album isn't particularly original, but that doesn't really bother me. It's well composed and well executed; Gwyllion is a talented group. The album has a touch of old school Nightwish, but vocalist Annelore is stronger in the mid to low range than Tarja. It can be hard to find a female vocalist who's really powerful in the lower range, but I always enjoy it when I do find one (e.g. Helena of Tacere), and Annelore's strong voice is one of the overall highlights of the album. Fans of Nightwish will probably enjoy The Edge Of All I Know; it's not spectacular, but it's solid, and there are definitely some catchy passages. Favorites are Rage and Closure.
